“The enchantment of Christmas never ends and its warm hue originates from the spirit of giving.”
The fest of Nativity was celebrated by our students in the month of December in the midst of a breezy twilight, with delight gleaming on their faces. The theme of celebration was seen with enhancements around the campus, X-mas trees, stars, hanging serial lights, dance performances and plays ushering in the season. The arrival of the Santa clause and the sweet cheerful rhythms of the choir were a sight to behold. The onlookers get back to their homes with the beats of jingle bells lingering in their hearts.

The commemoration of the day begins with pride and a dauntlessness honoring the tricolor flag followed by cultural programs remembering the grit and glory of the years leading up to our liberty. The students engaged in the celebration proudly enact scenes as great leaders who sacrificed their lives for the Nation. All the programs portrayed by the students were a significant and bold embodiment of the historic event that took from 1857 to our independence on 15th August 1947.
With the festive week around the corner, the students get to know our State’s tradition and cultural belief. The importance of all the four auspicious days – Bhogi, Thai Pongal, Mattu Pongal and Kaanum Pongal are taught through this celebration. As a mark of the festival, sweet Pongal is prepared and served for the students and staff. The delicacies and rituals involved are sampled and celebrated by our toddlers in their grown-up attires of Veshtis and sarees.

The day reminds us to love each other, live in peace and in unity. Unfurling the National flag, the students presented cultural items counting energetic patriotic melodies, dances, skit based on battles against ‘The Britishers’ and speeches invoking the valuable commitments of great freedom warriors.

The Scouts and Guides club systematized a three days inspirational camp for the students at camp Tonakela, Avadi from 24th January to 26th January 2020. The three days camp include numerous adventurous activities like obstacle crossing, climbing, rappelling, making various knots, etc. The camp equipped the students with skills of responsibility, confidence, perseverance, time management, team spirit and sportsmanship.

Graced by the presence of the great personalities, the cultural extravaganza of the evening unfolds with big pomp and show. The sweet melody of the choir, the presidential address by the special guests, dance performances, skit, mime and prize distribution ceremony made up for a wholesome evening of pleasantness. The awardees of the Board Exam, Proficiency Award and Santhosam Kesari Award are honored by the Chief Guests with trophies and certificates.

“Each action of a child is honorable; they uncover the child’s potential.”
Teaching and learning are not just limited to blackboards, smart boards, text books and notebooks. Children are encouraged to voice individually their thoughts on the topics covered during their sessions. Such activities drive them to be bold and creative. Activities are also done by them in groups to develop and deepen the bond with one another. Kids were taken to places of educational interests like Children’s Park, Snake Park, Fire Station, Railway Station and others. The teachers create a positive and rousing environment where children learn joyfully with fun and do their best.

The talents exhibited by the tiny tots of kindergarten left both the parents and teachers dazzled and spellbound. The entire program was organized on a given theme for the spectators to carry a memorable message home, adults were left humbled when little kids expressed through various choreography the harmful habits of humans and the toll it has taken on mother earth and its environment. Applauses rained down liberally after each event was completed, the audience left wanting more and with a smile.

The students are divided into four houses namely Daffodil house, Marigold house, Jasmine house and Tulip house. Colors of each house is expressed by their emotions on the field and through their sports attire. Students enjoyed the day by taking part in various sports events. Prizes were distributed to the winners at the end of the programs by the Chief Guest. The students exhibited their talents by actively participating in March past and drills. The House that took the lead in points was honored with the championship trophy.
